Our practice is based on the original 26 posture sequence from the well-versed Bikram Hatha Yoga and practised in a room heated with Far Infrared Radiant heat.

Hastings born, Jack, is an experienced Bikram Instructor, having undertaken a nine-week intensive Bikram teacher training course in Mexico 2008.

With a vision for change, he established the studio in 2012 and brought Bikram Yoga to Hastings as an alternative health model for well-being.

In 2017, he combined energy, resources, experience and practicality with his sister, Angela Garnham, and a brother-sister partnership was established. One becomes two, and ‘Mana Elite – Twice as Hot’ was born as the start of their journey together in business.

Bringing a gentle touch and wisdom to his Bikram teaching style, Jack offers a vigorous yoga workout designed to improve flexibility, general fitness and well being.

As a breast cancer survivor, Angela leads by example and is passionate about the wellbeing of people, especially women, having improved her own health and wellbeing by transforming herself from yoga student to trained instructor and business owner.

As part of her neuro diversity, Angela implemented a style of Body Flex classes to complement the yoga practice and brought a style of change that offers a combination of strength training and movement to music in the heat.

She welcomes all those that are seeking to improve their focus, determination and concentration for a more peaceful and meaningful life.

Jack and Angela are practitioners of Hot Yoga and Body Flex for their own wellbeing and continue to lead by example in their senior years, showing that age is no barrier to their studio.

Having whakapapa links to Ngati Kahungunu, Kai Tahu, Ngati Mahaaki ki Makaawhio, Rangitane Wairau and Ngati Maniapoto, they bring a cultural awareness to their delivery through manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and wairuatanga.
